Our new math unit will be on money, time, and measurement. The first graders will be focusing on coin identification, counting combinations of coins up to one dollar, time to the half hour, elapsed time, and measurement to the nearest inch and foot. Practice with identifying and counting coins at home is a great way to get your student comfortable using money.
