In your child's folder on Monday, you will find the first list of spelling words. We will begin each week with a
pretest of the week’s spelling words, anyone scoring 8 out of 10 or higher will
be moved into the challenge spelling list for that week. Each list will contain eight words containing
the week’s spelling pattern and 2 sight words.
We will practice these words throughout the week in our reading and
writing as well as through homework papers.
On Friday the weekly spelling test will be given. In the event there is a planned absence on a
Friday, please let me know so the student will be able take the test ahead of
time.
